_project Name: Reem Island 1

_location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

_brief: Create a self-contained community of mixed use, commercial, residential and retail. To showcase the developer's vision for the entire site.

_considerations: The retained site is to contain residential units which must be functional and practical. A minimalist contemporary feel.

_response: We created five blocks which looked to have been one before being broken away into separate forms, creating cool areas between each other, shileded from the midday sun. Every residential unit would have a view to cool water - the swimming pools.
