_project Name: The Gulf Sail
_location: Dubai
_brief: A residential complex with retail ground floor units situated by the sea. The client wanted three homogenous towers designed for comfortable living with a contemporary twist.
_considerations: The obvious weather conditions prevelant in the region coupled with the desire to reduce running costs and thereby the carbon footprint.
_response: G+18 towers striking by design as the principle contours of the building lift the residences out of the water that surrounds them. Three homogenous towers are draped with glass sails to reduce the cooling load, running costs and hence the carbon footprint of the development.
